Lessons Learned Log
The groundworker and the panel manufacturer were each working from their own version of the setting-out drawing, issued a fortnight apart, on a site where the foundation tolerances were tighter than a traditional build.
None. A design coordination check ahead of the pour caught the discrepancy.
The two setting-out drawings were compared before the pour. A single, version-controlled setting-out drawing was reissued to both parties, superseding the two originals.
On an MMC project, the groundworker and the system manufacturer must work from the same setting-out drawing, with one version-controlled owner, not two equivalent drawings issued separately at different points in the programme.
